I’m grateful my wife is donating her kidney to me: Eedris Abdulkareem

Nigerian hip hop artiste and rapper Eedris Abdulkareem is full of gratitude to his wife Yetunde for volunteering her kidney to him.
The ailing singer’s battle with kidney failure was made in July and friends and colleagues promptly organised a crowdfunding campaign for his treatment.
Eedris however revealed during a recent colloquium organised in his honour that he would have been on years’ long queue waiting for an organ donor had his wife not stepped up to offer hers.
“The doctor said they don’t encourage kidney harvesting, selling of kidneys and all that, that the donor has to be a family member, a friend, you know; whether your daughter or your brother or your son, you know”, the rapper who joined the August 13 event revealed via zoom.
“So right there, my wife decided to take all the tests, and from all the tests she took, everything came out positive that she was compatible with me.”
He added: ”So I’m giving God the glory and thank God that I don’t have to wait for one year or two years because I know it’s not easy.”
Eedris also expressed his gratitude to family and industry colleagues for the help rendered thus far.
“I want to thank my wife, I want to thank Baba Dede Mabiaku, Sister Mariam for putting the GoFundme together, thank my brother Chidi, thank my brother E-money, thank Chief Allen Onyema, thank everybody who has supported me, Nigerians in Diaspora, Nigerians in Nigeria…”
Eedris and Yetunde wedded in 2003 and have three children together.
