Ita Enang vows to develop human capital as Akwa Ibom governor

Ita Enang, Akwa Ibom governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, says he’ll enhance the state’s human capital development if elected governor in 2023.
Mr Enang made the promise during consultation to inform party faithful of his governorship ambition for the 2023 general election.
He assured party members that if nominated and eventually elected as the governor, “I will include that the cardinal programme of my administration will be to improve the human condition by ensuring there are enough resources to help translate into infrastructure.”
The aspirant boasted of being the most qualified to be the state governor with his past experience and achievements from being a councillor to senator.
“Having trained me this far, I want you to send me as the candidate of this party in the 2023 governorship election.
“Therefore, this is me coming to present myself to be the governor of Akwa Ibom State. I will work according to the manifesto of the APC,” he said.
Mr Enang said that he would ensure good working relationships with the federal government and other federal institutions to attract development to the state.
He urged the chairman and the party to remain neutral and ensure a level playing ground for all aspirants during the primaries.
Responding, the APC chairman in the state, Stephen Ntukekpo, described Mr Enang as, ”someone who is a round peg in a round hole, as far as politics is concerned in Nigeria”.
