I’ve benefited from Tinubu’s tribalism, removed from list of wanted Nigerians: Sunday Igboho

Sunday ‘Igboho’ Adeyemo, a Yoruba nation agitator, declared wanted by then-President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime, has gloated over his return from exile.
Igboho credited the Olubadan of Ibadan, Rasheed Ladoja, for making him a free man again, noting that this was possible because President Bola Tinubu is of the same ethnic stock as him.
“First, I thank God, and I thank the president of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu (and) my father, the Olubadan, Rasheed Ladoja, who met with the president on Friday, four days ago,” stated Igboho, in an interview with journalists after he visited Mr Ladoja on Monday. “My father (Mr Ladoja) called me, informing me that he has settled my matter with the president. He said I am now a freeman, and I can return to the country.”
He added, “I’m so happy. That’s why I came to show gratitude to my father. I also thank the president of Nigeria, our father, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“I want all Yorubas to thank him on my behalf because I am a beneficiary of Tinubu being a Yoruba. Just imagine the number of years I’ve been out of town (exile).”
Mr Igboho fled the country in 2021 after State Security Service agents raided his home. Igboho was planning an anti-herdsmen rally at the time.
There is no publicly available information that the SSS has scrubbed Igboho’s name from its list of wanted persons.
