Jigawa govt. destroys expired goods, drugs worth N3.2 million

The Jigawa Environmental Protection Agency (JISEPA) has destroyed expired goods and drugs worth N3.2 million in Hadejia Local Government Area of the state.
The acting managing director of the agency, Adamu Sabo, stated this in an interview with journalists in Dutse on Monday.
Sabo, who is also the director, environmental health in the agency, said operatives of the agency recently seized the items from malls, pharmaceutical stores and markets in the area.
He listed the items to include milk, soft drinks, biscuits, cooking oil, drugs and cosmetics.
Mr Sabo advised consumers to always check the expiry date of products before using them to safeguard their health.
He reiterated the commitment of the agency to keep the state safe from adulterated foods, drugs and medical consumables.
