Jordan has successfully delivered a new convoy consisting of 35 trucks of food aid to Gaza, a statement by the Hashemite Charity Organisation says.

The Jordan Armed Forces, in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation, has dispatched a new convoy of food aid to Gaza in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP) and several international charitable organisations.

According to the organisation, the total number of trucks that Jordan has dispatched and entered the enclave has reached 1,280 by Tuesday.

On the same day, Jordan’s Foreign Ministry condemned Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing and its closure to humanitarian aid.

The ministry’s spokesman said the Israeli forces’ control of the Rafah crossing, their prevention of humanitarian aid from entering and their expansion of aggressive military operations in the city of Rafah constitute a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian law.

He reiterated his call to the international community to immediately stop the ongoing conflict in Gaza, halt Israel’s continuous violations of international law and humanitarian law, and hold those responsible accountable.
