Baba Ijesha granted bail

Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James popularly known as Baba Ijesha who was arrested for sexually assaulting a minor has been granted bail.
Baba Ijesha who has been in police custody for over two weeks has not been arraigned in court due to the ongoing strike by the Judicial Staff Union.
Police said he cannot be indefinitely detained unlawfully to answer for his alleged crime.
On April 22, Peoples Gazette reported that the Yoruba actor was arrested for sexually assaulting a minor and has remained in the custody of the police since then.
“He has been granted bail about one hour ago. We are working to perfect the bail. He was granted bail on health grounds. He has not been released. He will be released after his bail conditions have been met,” his lawyer Adesina Ogulana said.
