Ganduje sacks ‘Dawisu’ for demanding Buhari’s resignation
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has sacked his long time media aide Salihu Tanko-Yakasai.
Mr. Tanko-Yakasai, widely known on Twitter as ‘Dawisu’, was sacked on Saturday morning, TVC reported.
The announcement came hours after news of Mr. Tanko-Yakasai’s arrest by the SSS gripped the nation, prompting widespread condemnation of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The aide had on Friday lashed out at Mr. Buhari and the ruling APC for their respective failures to address widespread insecurity across Nigeria. He was particularly miffed by the latest abduction of over 300 schoolgirls of a government college in Zamfara, a northwestern state.
Mr. Tanko-Yakasai was yet to be released when the government announced his dismissal.
