Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho has been named English Premier League player of the month for March.

The 24 year old striker maintained an impressive goal scoring form in the month, scoring five goals in three Premier League matches to win the award.

Iheanacho is the first Leicester City’s player to win the EPL player of the month since Jamie Vardy last won in 2019.

He becomes the fourth Nigerian player to win the monthly award for putting up a brilliant performance in the month.

Former Super Eagles Captain, Jay Jay Okocha, Odion Ighalo, and Osaze Odemwingie have all won the monthly award in the past.
