Lewandowski beat Messi, Mo Salah to FIFA best player award

Bayern Munich and Polish striker, Robert Lewandowski, has beaten the duo of Lionel Messi and Mo Salah to win the 2021 FIFA best player award.
The apex football organisation announced Lewandowski as the winner on Monday vai its Twitter handle.
FIFA had shortlisted Argentina star Lionel Messi, Egyptian striker Mo Salah and Lewandowski as the last three players for the Best Men’s Player award for the year 2021 on January 8.
Lewandowski has now won the prestigious award twice, beating seven-time Ballon d’or winner, Messi, who won Copa America 2021 and Salah, who came third in 2018 behind Ronaldo and the winner, Luka Modrić.
“It is a great honor and pleasure to receive the title of FIFA The Best Men’s Player,” Lewandowski said on Twitter. “Thank you for your votes and your support.”
