Kaduna NUJ chairman loses wife

Until her death, she was a staff member of the State Security Service (SSS) in Kaduna.

The wife of the chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State council, Abdulgafar Alabelewe, is dead.

Hajara Alabelewe died in the early hours of Sunday at about 1 a.m. in a hospital in Kaduna following a brief illness.

Confirming the incident, the NUJ chairman said his wife died as a result of malaria.

Until her death, she was a staff member of the State Security Service (SSS) in Kaduna.

According to the family, Janaza (funeral) prayers will take place by 2 p.m. on Sunday at Ansarul Islam Juma’at Mosque, Abakpa, by Lugard Roundabout, Kaduna.
