Kano govt launches medical outreach for orphans, needy persons

The commissioner expressed delight over the initiative.

The Kano State commissioner for women affairs, children and persons with special needs, Amina Sani-Abdullahi, has launched a medical outreach for orphans and other needy persons.

The permanent secretary of the ministry, A’ishatu Abdulkadir-Makkatu, led the medical outreach team to the commissioner’s office for the official flag-off.

The initiative is aimed at providing medical support to orphans and other vulnerable persons in the state.

The commissioner said the outreach team would visit Nassarawa Children’s Home on Friday to attend to the health needs of the children.

She expressed delight over the initiative and commended the organisers for their commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society.

Ms Sani-Abdullahi called on stakeholders, organisations and well-meaning individuals to join efforts in caring for orphans, needy children and other vulnerable persons.

She reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the health, welfare and wellbeing of vulnerable members of society.
