Katsina Gov. Radda sacks predecessor’s political appointees

Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State disengaged all political appointees on Tuesday.
The governor also announced the appointment of Ahmed Dangiwa as the new Secretary to State Government (SSG).
He appointed a Chief of Staff, a Deputy Chief of Staff, a Principal Private Secretary, media aides and a host of special assistants.
Mr Radda personally signed the letters of appointment of his aides, while Mr Dangiwa signed those of disengagement of political appointees of his predecessor, Alhaji Aminu Masari.
The governor directed all political appointees to hand over affairs of their offices to the most senior directors in their ministries, departments and agencies.
The directive exempted appointees at the state’s Pilgrims Welfare Board, who would remain in office till the completion of the 2023 Hajj.
Mr Radda thanked the disengaged appointees for their contributions to Katsina State. He congratulated the new appointees he charged to join hands with him in turning around the fortunes of Katsina State.
