Kevin De Bruyne scores as Manchester City dash Chelsea’s title hope

Manchester City on Saturday beat Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium, dashing the Blues title hope for this season. 

Jack Grealish came so close in the 39th minute, trying to shoot a one on one over Kepa who brilliantly deflected the ball. 

Both teams went into the half time break with no goal. However, City continued pressing Chelsea in the second half. 

Belgian striker, Kevin De Bruyne, delivered City all three points, curling a shot into the bottom right of Chelsea’s net from outside the box in the 70th minute. 

In total, City had 57 ball possession and six shots on target, while Chelsea had just one shot on target with 43 ball possession. 

So far, City have garnered 56 points in 22 games, while Chelsea comes behind them with 43 points in 22 games. 

With Saturday’s win, City extended their winning streak to 12, while maintaining a 13 point lead on the English Premier League log.
