The Kwara State Polytechnic has disowned Adama Joseph and Oreoluwa Davies, two suspects held by the police for allegedly killing club owner, Adeniyi Ojo, in a hotel in Ilorin.

School spokeswoman Halimat Garba said the suspects have no ties to the institution, which he described as peaceful.

Recall that Adama had, during police interrogation on Wednesday in Abuja, alleged that the victim had been demanding a sexual relationship with her for some time.

According to her, she refused his advances because she was working under him at some point, and when she quit the job, he failed to meet her financial needs whenever she requested.

Agreeing with Ms Adama’s narration of the events, Ms Davies claimed to have finished her ND programme at Kwara Polytechnic before the incident happened.

However, Ms Garba, in the statement denying the duo’s affiliation to the school, said its “students are good ambassadors of the Polytechnic, the state, and Nigeria at large and will never indulge in such acts.”

The police said investigations into the incident would continue amid preparation for trial. It was not immediately clear if the suspects had reached their legal representatives.
