Kylian Mbappé sides with Paul Pogba on witchcraft claims

French midfielder Kylian Mbappé has backed his embattled teammate Paul Pogba on the “juju” allegations made against him by his elder brother Mathias Pogba last month.
In the last days of August, controversy rocked the Pogba family when Mathias, in a video, stated that he was going to expose his younger brother, Paul’s dirty deeds.
Mathias did exactly as he said two days later when he published a post on Twitter accusing his brother of practising witchcraft and trying to curse Mbappé with it.
He proceeded to warn the Paris Saint-Germain forward to be careful dealing with Paul.
“Kylian, now do you understand? I have nothing negative against you, my words are for your good, everything is true and proven, the marabou is known! Sorry to this brother, a so called muslim deep in witchcraft, it’s never good to have a hypocrite and a traitor near you!” the tweet read.
Commenting on the scandal during the press conference ahead of the UEFA Champions League match between PSG and Juventus, Mbappé backed his teammate, stating he believes the words of Paul over those of his elder brother.
“Today I prefer to believe the words of my teammate. It is his word against the word of his brother, I am going to believe my teammate. It’s not a time to put more onto him. I’m pretty detached from it all,” he commented.
The Juventus midfielder has since denied the allegations through his lawyer, alleging that his brother Mathias was part of an organised crime group trying to extort him of €13 million “protection money”.
Paul told investigators that he met the group in Manchester, United Kingdom, while he was playing for Manchester United and in Turin when he joined Juventus during the summer transfer window.
He concluded that it was in Turin he recognised his elder brother as one of the group members.
