Labour candidate Achief Atta wins Eti-Osa House of Reps; Banky W, Obanikoro fail

Mr Atta’s victory comes as Labour Party continues to win heavily across Lagos, all largely on the back of its presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Achiief Thaddeus Atta, a Labour Party candidate for the House of Representatives in Eti-Osa, has won the constituency seat in the federal parliament, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC announced. 

Mr Atta was declared the winner of the February 25 election by the returning officer for the constituency Funmilayo Odukoya.

INEC said Mr Atta won 24,075 votes in the election. He was trailed by Bankole ‘Banky W’ Wellington, the musician who won 18,668 votes. Olajide Obanikoro won 16,901 votes. 

Mr Atta’s victory comes as Labour Party continues to win heavily across Lagos, all largely on the back of its presidential candidate Peter Obi.
