Lagos council boss names students hit in Ojodu truck crash

The chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Lagos, where a road accident occurred on Tuesday, said 18 students from different schools were hit by the errant truck.
Olusegun Odunmbaku said three among the students admitted in the hospital have been discharged. He said some of the students are still receiving medical treatment at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).
“I visited hospitals where those injured students were admitted. Three of them were discharged and we moved some to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and LASUTH annex at Gbagada for further checks and treatment. At LASUTH, we have four inpatients and one outpatient. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of them,” Mr Odunmbaku said.
“Those three in LASUTH annex at Gbagada are going through normal checks, X-ray scans, and others, we still have five at Lagos State Accident and Emergency Hospital. We are hopeful that all the remaining students under observation would be discharged soon.”
The chairman listed the names of those who were involved in the accident.
The names of students who were involved in the accident; Oladimeji Nimotallahi, Odubote Olamide, Ogunseye Christiana, Ogunseye Ayinla Bose, Bamigbose Daniel, Ezejiofor Wisdom, Qudus Kassim, and Ajere Sophia.
Other include; Pelumi Makinde, Abigael Aghigbe, Goodluck Nfunsio, Amusan Nofisat, Aduragbemi Akinyosoye, Bassey Saviour, Olanrewaju Ajibade,Akinwunmi Ekahanta and Adeboyejo Aliyah.
On Wednesday, the council chairman revealed the names of students that lost their lives during the incident, Adedoyin Adebayo and Akpolebi Israel.
The state government directed that all school activities in Babs Fafunwa Millennium Junior Grammar School, Ojodu Junior Grammar School, and Ojodu High School, they are all within the same compound, should be shut down.
