Lagos LCDA donates ICT tools to police to boost efficiency

The Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State has donated information and communication technology (ICT) gadgets to the Area ‘P’ Police Command to enhance efficient policing in the area.
The executive chairman, Lukmon Agbaje, said during the donation on Tuesday that his administration remained committed to strengthening security operations in the area.
Mr Agbaje, represented by his chief of staff, Babatunde Ajose, said the donation of ICT equipment was essential to protecting lives and property.
“The donated items include HP computer systems, UPS units, an HP printer, and a high-capacity Sharp photocopier.
“It also includes a generating set to support uninterrupted operations at the command headquarters.
“This initiative supports law enforcement efforts to safeguard lives and property within Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA,” he said.
Mr Agbaje said the administration aimed to improve police operational efficiency and strengthen capacity to combat crime and maintain law and order.
“The council is committed to promoting digital policing and strengthening collaboration with security agencies,” he added.
Olalekan Afolayan, the head of the council’s ICT unit, said the chairman remained committed to supporting the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies.
Mr Afolayan said the donation would help ensure a safer environment for residents.
ACP Olusegun Fadeyi, the area commander, appreciated the chairman’s gesture.
Mr Fadeyi said the equipment would significantly improve the command’s administrative capacity.
He assured residents of continued dedication to protecting lives and property and strengthening security efforts.
