LASEMA recovers three bodies under debris of collapsed Lagos building

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has recovered three bodies trapped under the debris of a building that collapsed at Akanbi Crescent in Yaba, Lagos, on Saturday.
The incident occurred Saturday afternoon while workers were working at the site.
Director-General of LASEMA, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said five persons were trapped inside the debris while two were rescued alive.
The emergency responders said that one person was rescued alive, but two people were still trapped inside the debris as they searched for more survivors at the scene.
“Upon arrival at the incident scene, a three-storey building under construction was discovered to have collapsed,” the agency said.
“Further investigation revealed that the construction workers were on site when the structure came down.
“With quick deployment of the Agency’s heavy duty equipment, one adult male has been successfully pulled out of the rubble.”
