LASTMA diverts traffic for MC Oluomo’s ‘five-million-man’ walk for Tinubu

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has announced traffic diversion for the five-million-man solidarity walk for All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
The solidarity walk was organised by Musiliu ‘Mc Oluomo’ Akinsanya, chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages and is set to hold at Teslim Balogun Stadium (TBS) on Sunday.
LASTMA spokesperson, Taofiq Adebayo, confirmed to Peoples Gazette in a statement that alternative routes are available for motorists as a result of the temporary closure of the road leading to TBS.
“The journey commences from Stadium under bridge through Funsho Williams Avenue to connect Ikorodu road to Oshodi by Anthony Bus Stop,” the statement reads.
The statement added that, “From Anthony Bus Stop by Theodolite- GT Bank to connect Anthony Bridge straight down to Oshodi
“In view of the above illustrations, motorists are advised to make use of the following routes because of the temporary closure and diversion of traffic at both Shitta roundabout and Alaka service lane inwards Stadium.
“Motorists from Eko bridge inwards Surulere through Stadium are advised to go through Stadium Bridge to Funsho Williams Avenue and connect their desired destination through Ojuelegba to Lawanson- Itire road.
“While motorists from Shitta roundabout to Ojuelegba are advised to connect Ojuelegba through Akerele Street/Ogunlana drive to link up with Itire-Lawanson road.
“Motorists from Shitta roundabout towards Eko bridge are advised to either connect Adeniran Ogunsanya to Bode Thomas to link Alaka or Adeniran Ogunsanya to link Eric Moore road to Abebe Village (Nigerian Breweries.Plc). We regret any inconvenience this exercise may cause.”
In a tweet on Friday, Mr Akinsanya declared a five-million-man solidarity walk in support of Mr Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, as well as the incumbent governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his running mate Femi Hamzat.
“This is to inform our esteemed members, supporters and lovers that our solidarity walk for the actualisation of Tinubu-Shettima Presidential ambition and the second term of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat will still hold as earlier scheduled,” Mr Akinsanya tweeted.
