Lawmaker disburses ₦15.2 million scholarship to Zamfara students

Each beneficiary received N30,000 as scholarship grants.

A member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmalik Zubairu (APC–Zamfara) has disbursed ₦15.2 million in scholarships to 508 students of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara, Zamfara State.

Speaking at the presentation on Saturday at his constituency office in Bungudu, Mr Zubairu said the initiative was part of his efforts to support education, particularly for students from less-privileged families.

He was represented by the Chairman of the Scholarship Committee, Muhammad Adamu.

Mr Zubairu said  that the gesture was aimed at helping students complete their studies and contribute meaningfully to the development of the state and the nation.

He stated, “The 508 beneficiaries are indigenes of Bungudu and Maru Local Government Areas who are currently studying various courses at Abdu Gusau Polytechnic in Talata Mafara Local Government Area. Each beneficiary has received N30,000 as scholarship grants. The gesture is aimed at supporting students from less- privileged families, who are finding it difficult to pay their school fees.’’
