Lawmaker empowers Oyo artisans with grinders, generators worth N100 million

A member of the House of Representatives representing Ido/Ibarapa-East in Oyo State, Aderemi Oseni, has empowered members of the state chapter of Blacksmith, Welder, Iron benders and Metal Technicians Association with equipment worth N250 million.
The event, held at Bembo Game Village, Apata, Ibadan, marked the first anniversary of BWIAN’s executives in the state.
The association’s governor, Munirudeen Adegoke, presented Mr Oseni with an award certificate as Governor-General of BWIAN in the state. .
Mr Oseni distributed equipment, including grinders and generators valued at N100 million, to various members.
He also inaugurated a N50 million cash initiative to establish a cooperative society for the association.
In his speech, Mr Oseni emphasised the need to reduce poverty in the state by supporting youths in their chosen careers.
He noted that President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed to transform Nigeria, encouraging lawmakers to support their constituents.
Mr Adegoke thanked Mr Oseni for the empowerment and urged other Oyo State political office holders to copy his example in giving back to the electorate. He reminded them that they would return to the electorate during future elections.
