League Management Company relocates Kano Pillars to Katsina

The League Management Company has relocated Kano Pillars football club from the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, to Muhammad Dikko Stadium, Katsina.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Media Officer of the club, Rilwan Malikawa, on Friday in Kano.
According to Mr Malikawa, the club management received the directives from LMC on Friday that they have been relocated to Katsina with immediate effect.
The Media Officer said the letter of relocation was signed by the Chief Operating Officer of LMC, Salihu Abubakar.
Mr Malikawa quoted LMC as citing security challenges and encroachment unto the playing field during match with Rivers United football club in match day 16 at Kaduna as reason for the relocation.
The statement said henceforth Kano Pillars would play their home matches at Muhammad Dikko Stadium, Katsina, starting with a Day 17 match against Nasarawa United on Sunday.
Mr Malikawa thanked the Kaduna state Football Association, Kaduna SWAN and entire football family of Kaduna state for the support and cooperation given to them during their stay in Kaduna.
