Man, 23, arraigned for alleged theft of bicycle

A 23-year-old man, Emmanuel Titus, on Wednesday appeared before an Asaba Magistrates’ court for allegedly stealing a bicycle.
Titus is standing trial on a count charge of stealing a bicycle.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecutor, ASP Nwakanma Gospel, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Jan. 6 at Liberty Estate, Okpanam Road, Asaba.
She alleged that the defendant stole the bicycle from the estate, property of one Timibi John.
Gospel said that the offence contravene the provisions of Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap C21 Vol 1 Laws of Delta state, 2006.
The Magistrate, Edith Anumodu, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N700 ,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until February 10, for hearing.
