Man, 24, in court for allegedly stealing ATM card inside banking hall

The police on Wednesday arraigned 24-year-old Adeyinka Adedeji before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State, for allegedly stealing Automated Teller Machine (ATM) Card on a bank premises.
The defendant of undisclosed address was charged on one-count of stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecuting Counsel, Inspector Olalekan Adegbite, told the court that the defendant on March 19, at United Bank for Africa (UBA), Dugbe branch, Ibadan, allegedly stole one UBA ATM card from one Adenike Adetunji.
Mr Adegbite alleged that the defendant committed the offence with intent to illegally withdraw money from the complainant account.
He said that the offence contravened Section 390 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State, 2004.
The Magistrate, K. O. Ayofe admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
She, thereafter, adjourned the matter until June 19, for hearing.
