A 27-year-old man, Mubarak Umar, on Tuesday appeared before a Kano State Sharia Court in Fagge, for allegedly stealing a playstation video game worth N300,000.

Umar, who resides in Galadanci Quarters, Kano, is facing a two-count charge of criminal trespass and stealing.

The Prosecutor, Zahradeen Abubakar, told the court that the case was reported on March 28 at Fagge police station by Anas Musa, who also resides in Galadanci Quarters.

Mr Abubakar said the defendant entered the complainant’s shop and stole the video game.

The defendant, however, pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Judge, Umar Lawal-Abubakar, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N30,000 with one surety in like sum.

Mr Lawal-Abubakar ordered that that surety must be a blood relation of the defendant.

He adjourned the case until April 30 for summary trial.
