Man arraigned over alleged theft of metal container worth N2.3 million

One Usman Abubakar, 35, on Wednesday, appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, over alleged theft of metal container worth N2.3 million.
Abubakar, whose address was not provided, was charged with conspiracy and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Adeshina Folaranmi told the court that the defendant committed the offences on Feb. 28, at Egbeda area of Ibadan.
He said that the defendant and others at large allegedly stole two-feet metal container worth N2.3 million belonging to one Kayode Ojokondo.
The prosecutor said the offences contravened Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Oluwabusayo Osho, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1 million with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until July 7 for hearing.
