Man arrested for stealing power cables from building in LASUTH

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Emmanuel Ikoka, caught in possession of electrical wires he allegedly stole.
The command’s public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this on his official X handle on Sunday.
According to the state’s police spokesperson, the suspect stole the wires from a building under renovation at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.
Stating that an investigation was ongoing, Mr Hundeyin urged members of the public to safeguard their buildings under construction.
He said, “25-year-old Emmanuel Ikoka was apprehended by a vigilant security officer as he was emerging from a building under renovation in the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja. He was caught with lots of electrical wires he ripped off the building. Investigation is ongoing.”
