Man caught heading to Sagamu with human parts

A 31-year-old man has been arrested by operatives of the Lagos police command for being in possession of human parts.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesman, confirmed the arrest of Monday Alfred on Friday.
Mr Hundeyin said that the suspect was arrested on Wednesday at about 2:15 p.m. by a patrol team from Imota Division, on Ori-Okuta Old Sagamu Road.
He said the team observed that two young men on a motorcycle with registration number JBG 276 VU, were on top speed heading towards Sagamu from Imota.
“One of the suspects jumped down and ran into the bush as soon as they were stopped by the patrol team.
“They were given a hot chase, which led to the arrest of Monday Alfred of Isale-Aye Araromi Imota, who was the motorcycle rider.
“Upon thorough search of the black sack found with them, two cut hands suspected to be human parts, were found in a liquid suspected to be alcohol in a plastic bucket,” the spokesman said.
Mr Hundeyin said the motorcycle, one Tecno and one Vivo mobile phone, were also recovered from the suspect.
He said efforts were intensified to apprehend the suspect who escaped.
