Daniil Medvedev beat Sam Querrey in the final of the Mallorca Championships to win his first ATP Tour grass-court final on Saturday.

Medvedev’s previous 10 titles have all come on hard courts, but veteran American Querrey was not able to stand in his way on this day.

The world number two coasted to a straight-set victory and earned a pre-Wimbledon confidence boost.

Russian Medvedev was in control as he won 6-4 6-2 in just over an hour of what was his 18th career final.
