Mohbad’s outrage rages, Tems’ pregnancy rumour, other entertainment highlights this week

The week’s entertainment highlights featured heartfelt expressions of grief from both fans and celebrities of Mohbad as they took to the streets to mourn the passing of the singer, who tragically died at 27. Also, there were unexpected twists and turns in the entertainment world.
Mohbad’s controversial death and demands for justice
The passing of 27-year-old artiste Mohbad sparked controversy, leading to calls for justice from fans, supporters, and celebrities. Iyabo Ojo, an actress, championed the calls, supported Mohbad’s family, and addressed issues of mistreatment in the music industry. The Nigeria Police Force also completed the autopsy on Mohbad and awaits the results.
In a heartwarming show of unity, fans and celebrities held candlelight processions in various states, including Delta, Lagos, Akure, Ondo, and the Federal Capital Territory, to mourn the loss of the artiste. Davido, Falz, Zlatan, and others graced the procession in Lagos.
Although planned to end at 8:00 p.m., some participants continued with a protest, prompting police intervention and the use of teargas to disperse demonstrators.
Meanwhile, the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) clarified that the suspected nurse who injected Mohbad was not affiliated with their organisation.
BBNaija’s White Money accuses his team of mismanaging, selling his votes
Evicted Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate Hazel Oyeze Onou, better known as White Money, pointed accusing fingers at his team after his elimination from the reality show.
In an interview with media personality Hero Daniels, Whitemoney claimed he was evicted from the All-Star House because his team sold his votes.
He expressed, “During my stay in the All-Star House, I was facing both internal and external battles. And I felt it. Things were happening. When I came out, I discovered that a lot of things were happening to me when I was inside; my [Instagram] page got hacked, my votes got sold by my own team, internal betrayals.”
Oxlade reveals why he restricted Mohbad on Instagram
Singer Oxlade addressed the recent restriction of Mohbad’s Instagram direct messages following backlash that trailed his tribute to the late singer.
Oxlade had shared his Instagram conversation with Mohbad. However, fans were quick to observe through the chats that Mohbad’s account was placed on restriction.
However, Oxlade clarified the issue on his X handle, saying, “I only restrict accounts I have a personal relationship with because my label runs my account in order not to miss important bookings and business conversations. So, the restricted account is a way of pointing out to my label that the messages from these accounts are private and they come from my close friends. Explained that, as an artist, he shares control of his social media accounts with a team responsible for managing bookings”.
He also claimed to have received threats from individuals who had misconceptions about why Mohbad’s account was restricted.
Tems responds to pregnancy rumours
Tems has responded to the rumours about her pregnancy following her appearance at the Burberry fashion show held on Monday in London.
Among the many celebrities who attended the event, social media trends suggested that her choice of outfit was an attempt to conceal a baby bump.
Tems addressed the circulating rumours on her X handle on Friday, and she wrote, “In conclusion, you people are all mad!”
She made a stunning entrance wearing a luxurious faux fur Burberry coat in a rich shade of purple.
