An Islamic group, Jam’iyyatu Ansariddeen (Attijjaniyya), has donated clothes, detergents and N3.9 million to the victims of Tudun Biri drone attack in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The group’s National Secretary, Alhaji Al-Qasim Yahaya, made this known in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
He said that the items were delivered to the victims by a delegation of the organisation led by Sheikh Abdul’ahad Ibrahim-Niass, the Chairman of NIASSE International Foundation.
Mr Yahaya said the items were distributed to the victims at the 44 Nigerian Army Hospital and Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in Kaduna, where some of the casualties, most of whom were women and children, were receiving treatment.
He said, ‘‘As an Islamic organisation whose members were affected by the tragedy that led to the loss of lives of many innocent souls and in several others were injured, we decided to donate relief items to our brothers and sisters. We distributed 150 wrappers to women, 100 gowns to men, 50 sets of readymade clothes for women, 70 sets of readymade clothes for men, 100 sets of slippers, detergents and N10,000 cash to 100 victims.
