A man, Moses Oyibo, has dragged his wife, Joy, to a customary court in Nyanya, FCT, alleging that she wants to kill him.

The petitioner, who resides in Jikwoyi, Abuja, made the allegation in a divorce suit he filed against his wife.

“I now live under fear in my own house because my wife is constantly saying that she will kill me whenever we have a little misunderstanding,” he said.

Ms Oyibo also told the court that his wife no longer played her role in the family as a wife.

“She is so disrespectful and has not been cooking for the family.

“I have tried my best to resolve the matter with her, but all to no avail. I am tired of the marriage; I want a divorce,” he said.

The respondent, who was present in court, denied the allegations.

The presiding judge, Doocivir Yawe, advised the couple to reconcile, especially for the sake of their children, and adjourned the matter until April 26 for a report of settlement/hearing.
