The owner of Agbo Hotel, Ogbomoso, Oyedokun Oyeniyi, his wife, Busayo Oyedokun, and seven others kidnapped on Saturday have regained freedom.

The victims were released on Tuesday after paying a ransom.

The police spokesman in Oyo, Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the release of the victims.

“Yes, they have been released,” he said.

Mr Osifeso did not, however, disclosed whether ransom was paid before the release of the victim.

The kidnappers had visited the hotel in Ogbomoso at about 10:00 p.m. on Saturday pretending to be lodgers and shot sporadically into the air before kidnapping them.

The kidnappers had demanded N32 million for their release.
