The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commenced the recruitment of graduates and postgraduates into Direct Short Service scheme.

In a statement made available on its official Facebook page on Monday, NAF announced that online application for the recruitment exercise would run between July 26 and August 30 2021.

The security agency in the statement said that Nigerians applying to get trained into the Direct Short Service Cadet must be between the ages of 20 and 30 years by September 2022 to be eligible to partake in the recruitment exercise, adding that applicants must be single and be of Nigerian origin.

The age cap exempts medical consultants who according to the air force must be between 25 and 40 years to be considered for recruitment.

“Medical Consultants should be between the age of 25 and 40 years (Candidates born before 29 September 1982 are not eligible).

“Chaplain/Imams candidates must be between the age of 20 and 32 years (Candidates born before 29 September 1990 are not eligible).

“The Exercise is not for serving personnel desiring Branch Commission. Therefore, personnel above 30 years of age (born before 29 September 1992) need not apply,” the statement by NAF read.

NAF added that graduates applying for the openings must be in possession of their NYSC discharge certificate or letter of exemption from NYSC when applying.

“Applicants must possess certificates of full registration with their statutory professional bodies in Nigeria, where applicable,” the force added.
