The Ezhiba community in Nasarawa has appealed to Governor Abdullahi Sule to construct over five kilometres of the Ezhiba/Akpata road to improve the standard of living of the residents.

Danlami Umbugadu, the head of the community, made the appeal when he led members of the community on a visit to Garba Adigizi, the administrator of the Akun council in Akpata.

Mr Umbugadu said that the construction of the road would boost agriculture and socio-economic activities in the area.

“This road is in bad shape, our people and other people  are suffering while plying the road. We want to appeal to  His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule, to construct our road to improve our standard of living,” he said.

Mr Umbugadu also appealed to the governor to employ and appoint sons and daughters of the community into various government positions in Nasarawa.

He assured the governor and the Administrator of their loyalty and support.

Lami Martina Bako, former speaker of the Akun council, Charles Jatau Shari, a retired director of the Nasarawa Ministry of Education, and Umbugadu Angbashim, the chairman of the community, assured the governor and the administrator of their support.

Mr Adigizi assured them of his support and partnership in the community’s development. He also assured them of all-inclusive leadership for the unity, peace and development of the community.

Mr Adigizi restated his readiness to implement effective policies and programmes that would have a direct impact on the lives of the community’s people.
