The speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has confirmed that the construction of Garaku and Bassa roads has been captured in the 2026 budget.

He expressed optimism that the state government would commence construction of the road soon.

Mr Jatau stated  this when the stakeholders of Bassa District, Kokona LGA, visited him in his office in Lafia on Monday.

The speaker said that the construction of the road would boost agriculture, farmers’ revenue base, and the socio-economic activities of the people.

“By God’s grace, Bassa road will be constructed by our amiable Governor Abdullahi Sule. He has given us the assurance  that Bassa road will be constructed before his tenure expires, and it has been  captured in the 2026 budget,” he said.

Mr Jatau thanked the people for calling on him to contest for the House of Representatives of Keffi/ Karu/Kokona federal constituency, while pledging more development if elected in 2027.

“I have accepted  to contest for the seat of Keffi/ Karu/ Kokona Federal Constituency come 2027, as leadership comes from God.

“Please continue to pray for me to succeed. I appreciate you for electing and supporting me in the race. I will do more  in the area of project executions, employment, empowerment, appointments, among others,” he said

Mr Jatau also appreciated the people for living in unity and peace with one another, irrespective of their different affiliations.

Mr Jatau pledged quality representation and projects for the Kokona West constituency, even as he appreciated them for printing 2000 T-shirts, caps, and banners for his campaign.
