Nasarawa speaker distributes palliatives, cash to constituents

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Danladi Jatau, distributed 350 bags of 7.5 kg of rice and 350 bags of 7.5kg millet to his constituents in Kokona Local Government Area on Monday.
He also gave N2 million cash to the constituents as part of his palliative gesture.
“I allocated 35 bags of rice, 35 bags of millet and N150,000 to each of the six wards in my Kokona West constituency.
“I also allocated 10 bags of rice, 10 bags of millet and N50,000 to each of the five wards of Kokona East, the constituency of my younger brother, Hon. Daniel Ogazi, in the spirit of unity.
“I also allocated rice, millet and money to executive members of the All Progressives Congress, those of the Peoples Democratic Party and the Social Democratic Party and to security agents and other stakeholders,’’ he said.
Mr Jatau pledged to continue to provide jobs and empower Kokona Local Government Area constituents as democratic dividends.
“I have done it before; I am doing it today and by God’s grace, I will continue to provide foodstuffs and other dividends of democracy for my constituents.
“What I am doing is improving the standard of living of the people of Kokona Local Government Area in the spirit of Easter and Eid-el-Fitri celebrations,’’ he said.
Mr Jatau advised the beneficiaries not to sell the rice or the millet but to use them to improve their standard of living.
He expressed appreciation for the constituents who elected him into the legislature and also for Governor Abdullahi Sule for his developmental efforts in Nasarawa state.
He enjoined his constituents to continue to pray and support Mr Sule’s administration to succeed and to live in unity and peace for the overall development of the state.
Some of the beneficiaries appreciated the speaker’s gesture and prayed to God to bless their benefactor abundantly. They also assured him of their loyalty and support at all times.
