New Ikorodu NSCDC chief urges officers to be disciplined

Samuel Oke, chief superintendent of the corps and Ikorodu divisional officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, has charged officers on discipline and compliance with its mandate.
Mr Oke gave the charge during the takeover event at the NSCDC quarters on Thursday.
Mr Oke is taking over from Josiah Dokkunu, who was promoted to the rank of assistant commandant of corps and deployed to the Ikeja unit.
The new divisional officer urged officers of the unit to work professionally in accordance with the service’s ethics, conduct, and commitment.
“I urge all officers of this division to be disciplined and ensure you carry out your duties in accordance with the NSCDC mandate,” he said.
Responding, Mr Dokkunu urged the divisional officer to replicate the same support he received during his tenure to the new officer for efficient service delivery and seamless operations.
“I appeal to officers here to ensure synergy and support as they did during my tenure in the division,” he said.
