Niger: Gov Bago to flag off dualisation of N1.5 trillion Lambata-Bida-Makera road

The groundbreaking ceremony would be held at 12:00 p.m.

Governor Umar Bago will, on Tuesday, flag off the reconstruction and dualisation of the Lambata-Bida-Mokwa-Makera-Kontagora Federal Highway following the federal government’s approval of N1.5 trillion for the project.

Bologi Ibrahim, the governor’s spokesman, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, saying the groundbreaking ceremony would be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Bida.

He stated that the ceremony would be attended by xhairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote; chairman of Hi-Tech Construction; Minister of Works, David Umahi; and Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.

The project involves the reconstruction and dualisation of the major federal highway linking Lambata, Bida, Mokwa, Makera and Kontagora.
