The lawmaker representing Badagry Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Sesi Whingan, said on Friday that the National Assembly was making laws that would improve the lives of Nigerians.

Mr Whingan disclosed this during a media chat in his residence in Badagry, where he acknowledged the hardship in the land.

“We are making laws that will better all and sundry in the country; I will only appeal to Nigerians to be patient with the present administration of President Bola Tinubu,” he said.

The lawmaker said he was in 11 House committees to ensure that Badagry people enjoy the dividends of democracy.

“I will ensure that all the 11 house committees to which I belong are relevant committees that I can use as a platform to attract development to Badagry,” he said.

Mr Whingan said he had sponsored 15 bills in the House within his six months in office, of which 11 had passed second reading.

“All of these bills are bills for national development, which will also benefit Badagry.

“My engagement has been how to move my people out of poverty,” he said.

On the empowerment of his constituents, Mr Whingan said he would create a database for his people to meet their needs.
