NIPR urges training to safeguard Nigeria’s reputation, integrity

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (FCT chapter) has called for the regular training of manpower to defend the reputation and integrity of Nigeria.
Its chairman, Kingsley Ogadigo, made the call at its PR Solution Spotlight, heralding the 35th anniversary of the institute on Saturday in Abuja.
“The FCT’s Chapter of NIPR is 35 year-old today. We are doing everything possible to make sure our impact is felt across the country. What we are doing today signals the celebration of the anniversary,” said Mr Ogadigo. “As public relations practitioners, we understand the value of the internal public. In most cases, some organisations would always focus on the external public.”
According to him, at the end of the day, it is the information from the internal that will give a negative or positive reputation.
Mr Ogadigo said that what was needed in the country was not just how to address the issues that confront us, but to tackle the issues at their root by training manpower that would go out to defend the country, its organisations, and institutions.
He explained that at the end of the event, practitioners would know how to behave in terms of reputation building and management.
