NSITF partners ICPC to check unethical practices

The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund has partnered the Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission on an anti-corruption campaign to check unethical practices in its operations.
NSITF managing director Oluwaseun Faleye said this during the inauguration of the NSITF’s Anti- Corruption and Transparent Unit sensitisation campaign workshop on Tuesday in Abuja.
Mr Faleye, who commended the ICPC for its collaboration with the Fund, said that the anti-corruption campaign was a pivotal step towards reinforcing collective resolve to uphold integrity and transparency.
Mr Faleye said corruption undermines public trust, stunts the growth of organisations and diminishes service delivery.
He added the NSITF would leave no stone unturned in maintaining transparency standards in all its operations.
Mr Faleye, while expressing pleasure over the awareness of corruption risks in the agency, said that the NSITF would strengthen its commitment to accountability through periodic reviews.
On corruption prevention, he said that the Fund was working on the digitisation of its core processes to minimise lapses associated with manual operations.
ICPC chair Musa Aliyu urged the NSITF to identify lapses in its operational system. According to Aliyu, the agency must ensure that unethical practices are checked and staff members are sensitised to corruption.
He said the ICPC would provide a three-pronged approach to fighting corruption.
