OAU hails Remi Tinubu for donating 50 buses, 30 tricycles to alma mater

The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University has commended the first lady, Oluremi Tinubu, after receiving 50 buses and 30 tricycles she donated.
OAU is Mrs Tinubu’s alma mater.
“The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, wishes to inform the University Community, particularly our dear students, of the successful receipt of 50 buses and 30 tricycles graciously donated by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON.
“This generous gesture to her Alma Mater is a classic demonstration of the first lady’s unwavering commitment to the welfare, mobility and overall well-being of students, adding that the provision of these vehicles is expected to significantly ease transportation challenges within the campus,” the school said in a statement on Monday by its spokesman, Abiodun Olarewaju.
The university stressed that her fulfilment of the donation highlighted the first lady’s commitment to education.
The university, the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, for facilitating the delivery of the vehicles.
“While the deployment and full operation of the buses and tricycles have commenced, the management wants to use this medium to kindly appeal to our students and the entire university community to please bear with us regarding any perceived inadequacies in the current operations,” said the statement.
