Obi mourns Labour Party women coordinator

Peter Obi has condoled with the family of John Anzaku over the demise of the Labour Party’s ‘door-to-door woman coordinator’, Cecilia Anzaku.
Mr Obi, who visited the family at their residence in Gidan Mangoro, Abuja, on Tuesday, described the death of the Coordinator as unfortunate.
“This is because He is the one who gives life, and He is the one who takes. He has a reason for everything He does. He has a plan for everyone in this life. She is a great mobiliser and has dedicated her time and energy to a good cause. Let us pray that her soul rest in peace with the Lord,” Mr Obi said.
Meanwhile, former information minister Labaran Maku, on behalf of the Anzaku family, commended Mr Obi for the condolence visit.
Mr Maku, the brother of the deceased’s husband, described the late politician as a great woman, widely known by different women’s groups.
“The coming of a large group of people to console the family is a testament to her great works in politics and society.
“We pray that the legacy she left behind would be maintained and improved,” Mr Maku said.
The politician will be buried on Friday in Akwanga, Nasarawa.
