Oluyede visits Ekiti governor, pledges support for Tinubu’s re-election

Wole Oluyede, the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in the June 20 election in Ekiti, has promised to work for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. Mr Oluyede made the pledge when he visited Gov Biodun Oyebanji on Thursday.
A statement by the governor’s spokesman, Yinka Oyebode, said Mr Oluyede briefed the governor on his decision to support Tinubu’s re-election.
The statement said that the PDP candidate described the decision as part of his commitment to the progress and development of Ekiti and Nigeria.
It said Mr Oluyede also expressed his willingness to work with the governor to advance Ekiti’s development as the governor prepares to commence his second term in office on October 16.
The statement said the two leaders discussed issues related to Ekiti’s development and the need for continued collaboration among political stakeholders in the interest of the state and its people.
It said the governor thanked Mr Oluyede for his statesmanship and commitment to Ekiti and national development.
The statement said the governor commended Mr Oluyede for putting the interests of the state and the nation above partisan considerations, noting that Ekiti’s development required the collective efforts of all stakeholders.
