Osifo hails Oyebanji’s landslide win, predicts APC triumph in 2027

A former presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Stanley Osifo, says the reelection of Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State by a landslide margin signals strong prospects for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mr Osifo, who came second in the APC 2026 presidential primary, stated this in a congratulatory message to Mr Oyebanji on Monday.
He said Mr Oyebanji’s overwhelming victory reflected the growing confidence of Nigerians in the APC and its leadership across different levels of government.
He said the governorship election result showed that voters continue to reward performance and commitment to public welfare.
He said, “Your landslide triumph at the polls is not just a victory for the APC, but a historic milestone as you emerge as the very first governor in the history of Ekiti State to secure a back-to-back re-election. This overwhelming mandate stands as a powerful testament to the unwavering trust, confidence and love the good people of Ekiti State have in your leadership.
“It is a historic mandate earned through dedication, remarkable strides in development and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people. This victory has again shown us what we are going to expect in 2027 as our party is growing leaps and bounds ahead of the next general elections.”
He noted that Mr Oyebanji’s victory would further strengthen the APC ahead of future electoral contests, including the 2027 general elections.
He said the governor’s achievements in office had demonstrated the benefits of continuity in governance and effective public service.
The APC chieftain commended Mr Oyebanji for investments in infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, education and youth empowerment during his first term.
“Over the past four years, your administration has brought immense progress to Ekiti State through purposeful investments in infrastructure, agriculture, youth empowerment, healthcare and education. This fresh mandate is a well-deserved opportunity to consolidate on those outstanding achievements and steer the land of honour toward even greater heights of prosperity.
“The victory also sends a clear signal that the APC remains the preferred platform for development and good governance as the nation moves toward 2027,” he said.
Mr Osifo expressed confidence that the governor’s second term would bring greater peace, unity and development to Ekiti State.
He prayed for divine wisdom, strength and good health for Mr Oyebanji as he prepares to continue leading the state.
“As you prepare to embark on your second term, I pray that Almighty God grants you continued wisdom, good health and the fortitude to lead. May your next four years bring unparalleled peace, unity and development to every corner of Ekiti State,” Mr Osifo said.
He congratulated the governor on the historic victory and wished him a successful second term in office.
