Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) and the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, are expected to participate in a high-level leadership conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

The conference, expected to be attended by national leaders, policymakers, and business executives, is organised by the Oxford Global Think Tank (OGTT) and is themed “Better Leadership for a Better Nigeria.”

According to a statement on Friday by the OGTT conference programme manager, Williams Eze, the event is designed to “catalyse strategic dialogue on ethical, inclusive, and results-driven leadership” as part of Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.

Mr Eze disclosed that the conference, scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, would be attended by some of the country’s most influential minds to reflect on Nigeria’s leadership journey.

The prominent figures, according to him, include Governor Alex Otti of Abia, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, and business titan Atedo Peterside.

Others are former Senate Presidents Bukola Saraki and Anyim Pius Anyim, former Governor Kayode Fayemi, and Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment Doris Uzoka-Anite.

Mr Eze said the conference would explore pressing governance challenges and chart new pathways for the country’s transformation and national renewal.

He said the event would be built around four pillars: “Public Policy and Inclusive Governance, Economic Transformation through Business Leadership, Technology and Entrepreneurship, and Intergenerational Transition.’’

“During the event, the OGTT will also unveil its maiden report on African minerals titled, ‘RAMP Africa: Reforming African Minerals to Prosper Africa.’

“In addition, OGTT founder, Ms Arunma Oteh, will present her book published earlier this year in the United Kingdom, ‘All Hands-on Deck: Unleash Prosperity through World Class Capital Markets,’’’ he said.

He added that the highlights would include a curated art exhibition on leadership, offering visual and audio reflections on the event’s core themes.

Also expected at the event are Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Abubakar Suleiman, Leo Ekeh, Gbenga Agboola, and several other chief executive officers, heads of ministries, departments, and agencies, thought leaders, and youth innovators from across sectors.
