Osun APC chief confident of Tinubu’s capacity to fix Nigeria

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has expressed confidence in the ability of President Bola Tinubu to fix Nigeria’s failing economy.
Mr Oyintiloye, a member of the defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council, spoke on Sunday with journalists in Osogbo, the state capital. He advised Nigerians to be patient and support the president’s agenda to fix the country’s economy.
Mr Oyintiloye said, “The various economic policies by the president to put the country’s economy on the right path might seem painful, but they will, at the end, put smiles on the faces of the people.
“The hardship Nigerians are presently facing would soon be a thing of the past. It is true that the economy is not in good shape and Nigerians are going through a lot, finding it difficult to live a decent life.”
According to Mr Oyintiloye, Tinubu knows the country’s challenges before contesting the presidency and has since prepared himself with the interest of Nigerians at heart.
The APC chief explained, “I believe the president knew this before he offered himself to govern the country and he is well prepared to tackle all these challenges. All we need to do is to continue to pray for the president, support him and be patient. There is no doubt that he is capable of fixing the economy.
“President Tinubu is a man with a private sector background. He worked in the banking and oil sector and believes he will use his wealth of experience to fix things.”
He added, “The removal of fuel subsidy and the monetary policy of the president will soon put the country on the right path. There will be improved electricity, job opportunities, improved security, infrastructure development, housing provision and food security.”
Mr Oyitiloye also spoke on Tinubu’s victory at the tribunal and commended the judiciary for the landmark judgment. He added that it had again proven itself as the last hope for the common man and now the president has enough time to concentrate on governance.
Commending the president for appointing the best hands in his team to move the nation forward, he added that the president should be appreciated on the mission of “Renewed Hope Agenda” for Nigerians.
He further said the president genuinely expressed his commitment to the renewed hope when he expressly asked all his cabinet members during a retreat last week to sign a performance bond.
“This shows that this government is taking the bull by the horns and putting individuals on their toes which will enhance effective performance and deliver good governance.
“This will further reaffirm the confidence of our people in the present democratic process,” Mr Oyintiloye said.
