Ousmane Dembélé wins 2025 Ballon d’Or

Ousmane Dembélé has been crowned the 2025 Men’s Ballon d’Or winner, edging out rivals such as Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, teammate Vitinha, and Liverpool’s Mo Salah.
Dembélé’s 2024–25 season with Paris Saint-Germain was nothing short of spectacular. He played a pivotal role in PSG’s triumphant campaign, one that saw them clinch the Champions League, among other trophies.
His stats reflect his influence: a prolific goal-scoring record, key assists, and standout performances in the latter stages of major matches pushed him past stiff competition from Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal.
The win marks the first time in his career that he has claimed the Ballon d’Or.
As the lights shone down at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, the football world recognised the World Cup winner as one of the greats of the game.
